Music Like Water

This challenging work for double chorus sets Jane Hirshfield’s beautiful poem of the same name. It is inspired by water’s persistence and strength. As tiny streams of water when frozen can shatter stone or, when flowing, can combine into powerful torrents without warning, here, delicate individual lines and duets create intricate textures that transform rapidly into lush harmonies.
